From start to finish this has been a pleasure. The attention to detail extends beyond just the product but to how we were greeted. The customersation of the nets ( you can order and for yourself but would recommend the fitting service for that bespoke fit). To the explanation of how to use the nets. We were ferried to a local garden centre where we had a lovely lunch why we waited for them to be fitted

A lovely couple, friendly and professional service and excellent product. If you are looking for midge proof nets (a must for nc500). Or just general use to keep the bugs at bay in the summer months you can not go wrong with Sarah's nets.

VW T5 SWB Side door midge net

Great service, Sarah was very quick to respond and the net was delivered very quickly. After watching the short video I found it very easy to fit and I love how it looks, it is almost unnoticeable when rolled away. Living in Scotland this gives us peace of mind that when the midges arrive, we can still head out in the van knowing we won’t have to sit with the door shut to stop being eaten! Would definitely recommend.

We ordered both the side and rear door midge nets for our Ford Transit Custom and both arrived promptly. After watching the fitting videos I fitted both and am more than happy with the results. The quality is excellent and having the nets fit into the door seals is a great way of ensuring they remain in place. They cost more than the off the shelf one size fits all products available at well known online marketplaces but you definitely get what you pay for. Very happy and will definitely buy again for the next van.

We could not be more pleased with the service we received from start to finish! We ordered a side door and rear door set of nets for our VW T6 SWB ahead of our summer road trip around Spain and Portugal, and with future plans for the NC500 in Scotland. Having done some research in advance, we wanted something that was robust enough to keep out the midges as well as the mosquitos - and the reviews for this company spoke for themselves as far as service, product and value was concerned! We opted to travel to Sarah to have the nets fitted, and we're so glad we did. It gave us the opportunity to chat through our requirements in more depth and use their expertise to get the exact fitting that was right for us. Sarah was hugely accommodating, being flexible with rearranging the date we had chosen originally after circumstances changed at our end. Sarah dropped us off at the local garden centre, which gave them the opportunity to work in peace and us the chance to have a little mooch - we highly recommend the full breakfast! Sarah then collected us once installation was complete, and payment was very easy to make. The fit is professional, and the nets are exceptional quality! If you are researching like we did, I assure you you can end your search here - you'll not be disappointed!

Review for Sarah’s Mosquito Nets – Side Door Net for VW T6.1 LWB

We left it a bit last minute before realising we needed a mosquito net for our camper trip through Europe – but thankfully, Sarah’s Mosquito Nets came through!

We ordered the side door net for our VW T6.1 LWB and couldn’t be happier. Setup was straightforward – definitely easier with two people and a sharp pair of fabric scissors. We decided on the button positions to keep the net packed away (tip: have a couple of new HSS drill bits to hand), and installed three along the edging of the internal pop-top facing edge.

The supplied video link was a big help and made the process simple to follow.

In use, the net is excellent – quick to set up, easy to unzip when entering, and most importantly, it works. We’ve had several run-ins with mosquitos already on this trip, and it’s been a relief to sit with the door open, knowing they’re not getting in.

Sarah and the team even rushed the order out to us via special delivery after we ordered on a Sunday – we couldn’t ask for more. Great service, great product, and we’d highly recommend them.

Not being great at DIY and wanting to ensure they were properly fitted we opted to travel from Scotland to Wales to have them fitted. We planned a two-week trip to the northwest of Scotland in June 2024 and knew we needed midge protection for our Transit Custom High-Top van. After a Google search, we found Sarah’s Mosquito Nets and contacted Sarah to ask if she could make nets for our van, as it differed somewhat from a VW camper. She assured us that she could!

We needed a set of side-door midge nets and a full-height rear door midge net, both with zip openings that allow them to be rolled away when not needed. Since Scottish midges can pass through regular mosquito nets, we required finer mesh nets.

We arranged a day with Sarah to have the nets designed and fitted. Upon arrival, we had a detailed discussion about our requirements and how everything would work. In particular, we talked about the fastenings, the use of magnets to hold parts of the netting in place, and how to accommodate the van’s rear door check-straps, which needed to pass through the nets when opening and closing the doors. We felt fully involved in the design process, and every question or challenge was met with excellent options and innovative solutions.

After leaving the van with Sarah, we spent the day at a local garden center. When we returned, the nets had been installed, and she walked us through their features. We were absolutely thrilled—they fit perfectly and worked flawlessly!

Since then, the nets have significantly reduced or eliminated insects entering the van. They have allowed us to sit with the doors open in Mull, Skye, Wales, and Cornwall, enjoying the scenery and sunsets while others had to keep their vans tightly shut. During the winter months, we simply rolled them away for zip-free access when insect protection wasn’t needed.

At one point, we accidentally damaged a net by getting it caught in the side door locking mechanism. We arranged a visit with Sarah, who promptly took the net apart, replaced the damaged panel, and refitted it—all for a very reasonable price. This level of after-sales service is invaluable and greatly appreciated!

Sarah was recommended by a friend who has had bespoke blinds made for his VW california. I've always known that my Renault Master camper (Kelvin) has very awkward doors, where the runners are situated inside the door hole. A bespoke service would have always been the best solution here.

Being only 30 minutes away, we went up to get measured and see if mosquito blinds were going to be possible, as the side door would be particularly tricky. Sarah and Rab (Sarah's husband) were lovely and confident that a solution would be doable. They professionally went through all the options about positioning and zips, popers magnets. A week later, we were ready to hand Kelvin over for his gown fitting. The next day, we went back to collect him to find such a professional, sturdy, well constructed set of blinds, clearly a lot of time and care had gone into them.

We had to go on a mini mosquito filled camp to test the blinds out, not a single bug in sight. We will definetly be recommending Sarah to our many friends with vans.

So happy with the quality of the nets. Drove from Essex for them to be fitted and it was well worth the drive! Excellent service and Sarah & her husband go above & beyond for their customers, even drove us to the local garden centre so we could get lunch whilst the nets were fitted & then collected us once done!
